With entrepreneurial passions flowing in his blood, Dennis has strong track records leading core business units, devising and executing effective strategies, restructuring aging business models, and expanding business to local and international marketplace.
Dennis assumed a key business development role at the Publications Dept. of Hong Kong Trade Development Council and was responsible for the media development of over 10 key exhibitions and online trading platform. Before he returned to Canada, he headed the Publications Dept., Jewellery Division of UBM Asia, the largest trade show organizer in Asia and a global B2B event organizer headquartered in London, UK.
Dennis took up a key management role at South China Morning Post, the oldest English newspaper in Hong Kong acquired by Alibaba Group in 2015. He led the advertising and marketing team from 2007 to 2012 with an average double digit annual growth in revenue. Witnessing the immense challenges of traditional media model, Dennis initiated a venture joining an e-commerce start-up company. He expanded the business team and the company’s new business profile paving its way for a successful acquisition by Ensogo, a Singapore listed company. Later, he joined NDN Group as the COO and restructured its digital agency and managed a series of SaaS businesses.
Dennis graduated from Simon Fraser University with a B.A. degree in Criminology. He further obtained a MBA degree in Marketing from Western Sydney University. Seeing the trend of aging population, Dennis is very interested in the study of preventive medicine. He extended his studies in Naturopathic Medicine and received a certificate from American Academy of Procedural Medicine, while finalizing his PHD in Holistic Medicine.
In 2016, Dennis returned to Canada with his family. He is now the managing partner of Auto Nerve Media Inc., and also assuming the role of the head of Publications Dept., at S.U.C.C.E.S.S., one of British Columbia’s largest social service providers.
